  Obituary	Dr. Joseph Bernard Klein, age 90 of Calumet City, IL, passed away September 30, 2011. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathryne (nee McCormick) in 2004. Joseph is survived by his sister, Jeannie Klein; nephews: Lance and Larry Block, and Rick (Emily) Gahn; niece, Ellen; great niece: Katylin; brother-in-law, Henrik (Pat) Gahn, sister- in-law, Rosa; along with many friends and neighbors. A memorial gathering will take place Friday, October 14, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL. Joe was born February 19, 1921 in Indianapolis, IN. He joined his wife Kathryne in marriage on June 4, 1945. Joe honorably served his country in WWII as a Lieutenant aboard the USS New Jersey, and was in the Naval Reserves until 1958. For 59 years, Joe lived in Calumet City and worked as an Optometrist in downtown Chicago. In his free time, Joe traveled the world with his wife. He enjoyed driving his MG sports cars in ralleys, and his hobby in photography.
