  Obituary	Pickens, July 9 - Mrs. Vadie Porter Anderson, 64, wife of the Rev. Charlie R. Anderson, died at the home of her son, George Anderson, at 1:30 a.m. today while visiting from Clinton. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Gravely Porter, pioneers of Pickens County. She was a member of Bailey Memorial Methodist Church. Survivors are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Walter Reese of Greenville, Mrs. Roy Sanders, Mrs. Charles Cobb, Mrs. Harold Lawson, all of Clinton; Mrs. Henry Carson of Charleston; three sons, Frank of Ninety Six, George and Hoyt Anderson of Pickens; one sister, Mrs. Nora Wilson of Charleston; two half sisters, Mrs. Pearl McJunkin of Greenville, Mrs. Pauline Hughes of Pickens, two brothers, George of Columbia and Ben Porter of Pickens, two half brothers, Claude Porter of Greenville, Clyde Porter of Pickens; 18 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Porters Chapel Methodist Church at 5 p.m. by the Rev. O. B. Stewart and the Rev. John H. Holland. Interment will be in the family plot in the cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Ray, Dorsey, Louie, Paul, Zero and A. B. Porter. Honorary escort will be composed of members of boards of stewards of Bailey Memorial and Porters Chapel Methodist Churches. The body is at the home of a son, George Anderson, in Porters Chapel community.
