  Sophie emigrated to the USA after leaving her first husband , married Louis Marcheli, and moved to Chicago for a while and then returned to Taft, Tennessee and purchased 130 acres of land in Lincoln County, Tennessee on April 9, 1897 from K. Tidwell and his wife Louisa for $175. No records show that Louis sold the land. Sophie's second husband Louis Marscheli disappeared shortly after her death.
