Notes - Charles was buried in a primitive cemetery (it is alleged that he wasburied in an "Indian" Cemetery about two miles north of Newtonville, AL.,on the west side of what is now Route 171) which has now been plowedunder and has totally disappeared. It is on the deceased great-uncle ofDr. Rhodes Holliman's place near Newtonville, AL. Dr. Holliman's greatuncle was James M. Baker (deceased) who formerly owned the land, said hecould remember grave sites marked with old field stones. Charles DanielLucas must have died in Fayette County.
