Notes - From W.D. Sharp - Earley and Edna Clement Sharp began life together on a farm nine miles north east of Athens, AL. Earley later worked with the TVA on the Joe Wheeler and Guntersville Dam projects. He moved the family to Scottsboro, AL, in 1936. After leaving TVA, he began work as builder/ carpenter/ cabinet-maker with Partick Lumber Co. in Scottsboro. When WWII begun, he began work with the US Government at various defence sites in AL, LA, and TN. He moved his family to Clinton, TN, in 1943 and worked with the US Government at Oak Ridge, TN, where the Atomic Bomb was developed. After WW II ended, the family, with the exception of William D, who was in the US Army, moved back to Scottsboro, AL. Earley was re employed by Patrick Lumber Co. as a building construction supervisor. He held this position until his death in 1966. Edna never worked outside the home. She was a devoted home maker, wife, and mother.
