The Alabama Courier - Funeral services for Milton Walter Andrews, 76, who died January 26 following a short illness, were conducted at his late home on Madison Street Saturday, January 27, with Dr. B.T. Waites and Rev. W.F. Wimberly officiating. Interment was in the City Cemetery, McConnell in charge.
Mr. Andrews had lived his entire life in Limestone County where he was employed by the L & N Railroad Company.
He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. W.T. Harrison of Knoxville, Tenn, Mrs. Granville Underwood of Detroit, Mich., and Miss Christine Andrews of Detroit; five sons, Alvin of Detroit, Vernon of Detroit, Maples of Athens, Milton of Camp Edwards, Mass., and Herman of Athens; two brothers, Will of Birmingham and Athie of Athens.
Pallbearers were sons and grandson, W.T. Harrison Jr., Maples, Alvin, Vernon, Herman Sr., Herman Jr. Andrews.
He had been a member of the Baptist church for a number of years.
