Notes Married:
- Apart from the listing on the LDS site, I have seen no other indication of Samuel Clark Webster's marriage to Sally Brock.
Also, from Monya Havekost's note of 6/2/2003:
The big thing that makes me question the parentage of William Clark WEBSTER is that none of my family knew anything other than Mary LAWRENCE as his mother. And, my family has saved every last thing related to the family (I've now transcribed 302 letters (not WEBSTER) and have two Rubbermaid tubs of letters and documents left to go!) In addition, my great-grandmother Martha Adeline WEBSTER MUSGROVE received notification that she had an inheritance in England through her mother, Mary LAWRENCE, whose parents came from England. The ony catch was that they could not find out about the inheritance -- what it was or the value -- unless she appeared in person in England. She and Poppa decided against going to England under those circumstances. So, we'll never know what that was about and, so far, I haven't found the letter of notification amongst the papers. It may still turn up. So, right now I think it is much more likely that Mary LAWRENCE is my ancestor.
