Notes - 1860 - Marion Co Census shows age as 12, b. in S.C.
Son of Mary E. Doster (1828-1876) and Joseph Burton Black (1825-1896). He married Martha Ann Webster October 31, 1870 in Fayette County, Alabama. In 1900, they were living in Canadian, Cleveland County, Oklahoma on a rented farm. The household included Alimoth, Martha and their six children: Sam, Walter, Lafayette, Early, Murray, and Lee Ray. By 1910, the family was living on a farm they owned in Lexington, Cleveland County, Oklahoma. The household consisted of Alimoth, Martha, Earl, age 18; Murray, age 18; and Ray, age 16. At the time of his death, Alimoth owned 11 acres adjoining Lexington, Cleveland County, Oklahoma. The heirs named in his will were: Samuel S. Black, age 39, son; Fannie P. Grogan, age 32, daughter; Walter G. Black, age 20, son; William L. Black, age 28, son; Marry W. black, age 21, son; Early J. Black, age 21, son; Lee R. Black, son, age 19; and Martha A. Black, age 59, widow.
