  Notes on death from Obituary published in Lincoln Co., Fayetteville Observer,TN newspaper, Thursday, July 25, 1912,  copy found in a Bible of Mrs. Samuel McR. Callaway--Published in Lincoln Co., TN Bible Records, compiled by Mabel Abbott Tucker and Jane Warren Waller, published by Lincoln Co., TN, Pioneers, Vol 2, pgs. 158-160. He was descended from Dutch and French Hugenot ancestry, who came to America and settled in VA and NC that they might enjoy religious and civil liberty. He was a Confederate Soldier. (Obituary) There is a William Andrew Jackson who married Ann DeShazo.  The source for this marriage to American Ann DeShazo is from the Heritage of Lafayette Co., MS, Vol 1, Part2, page 284, (F347L2 H471986)cited by Henry Savage, Peabody College, Nashville, TN  37205.  We believe that this is not the same person.
