  Obituary	Mr. John Fox died quite suddenly on Tuesday morning, April 5, 1904. Mr. Fox was born April 25, 1830, and had almost reached his seventy-fourth anniversary. His parents were Henry and Susannah Delaney Fox, early settlers of the county. Deceased was one of a family of ten children. He was united in marriage December 13, 1849, to Dorothy Haines, and for almost fifty-five years they enjoyed a happy union together, surrounded by their children. He had filled many positions of trust, in each of which he discharged his duties faithfully and honorably. For a period of ten years he was justice of the peace, and from time to time had been chosen to the offices of township auditor, constable, assessor and school director. For over forty years he had been a member of the Newtown Methodist Episcopal church, and during many of these years had served as a steward and trustee. Beside his wife, ten children survive him: Eli, of Kirby; Christopher, of Morrisville; Matilda, wife of W. S. Vandruff, East Waynesburg; Jane, wife of J. L. Walters, of Brock; Daily, of Kirby; Maggie, wife of George Patterson, of East Waynesburg; Luther, of Morgantown, W. Va.; William, of Kirby, and Nannie, of East Waynesburg.
