  William, son of Revolutionary Soldier, Enoch Pearson (18 Apr 1757-2 Jan 1831 Butts co GA), and Diana Head (ca 1760-16 Sep 1833/4), was born 15 September 1780 in South Carolina and died 15 March 1841 in Elbert co. His paternal grandparents were John Pearson (b. 27 Apr 1728 PA) and Sarah Hall (1736/7-pl790), son of Enoch Pearson (27 Jan 1683-10 Mar 1758).  The Pearsons moved to Tallapoosa co., AL, 24 December 1838.  William H. Pearson died 13 March 1841, in Jasper co., GA, his old home, just after he had finished settling his business while on a visit.  Mary was last enumerated with the family of Mathew Lyle, 1880 census Scott co., MS (pg 84, ED 15).  She was shown as age 89, widowed and the mother-in-law of Mr. Lyle.  Mary wrote to her son on 14 January 1876 regarding the White and McElroy ancestors, giving ages or birthdates of all of her siblings.
