  	Email from Melanie Cook Turpin (4/15/2003): "It is correct in that Elizabeth White married a second time, after the death of husband William Sims. She did not marry Bob Goodwin, however. She married Theophilus Goodwin and lived in Autauga County, Alabama for a short time before moving to Union County, Arkansas. Many of Elizabeth White and William Sims' children also moved to Union County at or about the same time Elizabeth and Theophilus Goodwin moved there (shortly after 1850). Both Elizabeth and Theophilus died in Union County, Ark., with Theophilus predeceasing Elizabeth. I've seen Bob Goodwin listed as Elizabeth White Sims' husband in many internet sites, but the information is simply incorrect. Census records certainly reflect that Theophilus Goodwin was Elizabeth's husband. Additionally, I have other documents and have seen Theophilus's will --- all of which testify to the fact that he and Elizabeth were married."
