Notes - There is little known regarding "Billy" David as he named only his wife and three daughters in his 1822 will and appears in only one extant census, 1820 Madison co., GA. The only known proof of his parentage is presented in an entry in the diary of his nephew, (381) James M. Pearson, "Aunt Judy White was a David, sister to Uncle David." Judith's husband, (70) Micajah White, witnessed sales of property by William David, further emphasizing strong bonds between these families. This relation is also supported by his grandson, (967) William W. David, an early David researcher whose knowledge strenghtened family tradition that he married his "own cousin." Billy married, probably in Georgia about 1802, (71) Lucy White. Lucy, daughter of (15) Jesse White and Elizabeth Brown, was born 26 June 1786 in Buckingham county, VA and died 25 March 1857 near Dadeville, Tallapoosa co., Alabama where she is buried in the family cemetery.
