  Obituary	Funeral services for Mrs. Eloise Atkinson Harkness, age 81 of Fayette, were held Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 2:00 pm from Nelson Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed in Camp Comfort Cemetery. Phillip Harkness officiated. Music was provided by granddaughter, Stacey Boman. Mrs. Harkness was born August 23, 1926 to David Hollis and Abbie Lee Atkinson. She passed away Monday, May 12, 2008, at Decatur Health and Rehab. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Ronald Wayne Harkness and her grandson Jonathan Gabriel Fuqua. Survivors include her husband: John L. Harkness of Fayette, sons: Kenneth Eric "Rick" Harkness of Fayette, William Dennis Harkness of Fayette, daughters: Marla Lynn Fuqua of Hartselle, Janie Cheryl Franklin of Ft. Worth, TX, Donnise Perry of Tuscaloosa, brothers: Sammy Lee Atkinson of Fayette, Carl Ray Atkinson of Winfield, Donald Atkinson of Winfield, sisters: Edna Earle Kilgore of Texas, Willie Sue Hubbert of Winfield, Virginia Nixon of Hamilton, 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Seth Harkness, Shane Harkness, Joshua Fuqua, Kendal Harkness, Scott Perry, Allan Perry, and Bobby Sekaquaptewa.
