  Sarah E. Davis Roper was the daughter of James Robert "Jim" Davis and Sarah Nutonia Clements of Limestone County, Alabama. She married William Arthur Roper about 1905. Sarah was the granddaughter of Thompson D. Thompson and Elizabeth Purilla Carnes/Karnes, who came to Limestone County from South Carolina.
