  • Notes
    • After marriage Newton worked with the rail road; moving westward.  He and his new wife, her brother and his wife, moved to Utah first and then on to Kuna, Idaho.  Later Newton became the "water master" for the City of Kuna.  Later, still working with water, he became involved in environmental matters.  The family returned to Alabama in 1934 for a visit to find that Andrew N. Clement had married (second marriage) Laura Sharp, a surprise to Newton.  -Source:  Daughter Alma Clement Lyons 7/30/00
