    • Mrs. Mabel Johnson King, 36, died at her late home in the Holland's Gin Community, Wednesday evening, July 12, at 6:30.

      Funeral services were conducted at Scrouge Cemetery [later named Mount Pleasant Cemetery], Thursday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Swan, with Rainey of Ardmore directing.

      She was a devoted wife and mother and had been a member of the Methodist church since childhood.

      She is survived by her husband, one son, father, mother; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond Holt of Thach, Mrs. Lillie Mae Brock of Pulaski, and Miss Roberta Johnson of Holland's Gin; three brothers, Hubert, Herbert and Thomas Johnson, all of Holland's Gin.

      Pallbearers were Hubert and Herbert Johnson, Raymond Holt, John David and Robert and Paul King.
