p. 36. June 10, 1867. 160 acr. of Wm Harbour's lands are allotted ot Lucretia (his widow) as her dower. Commissioners who were appointed by the court to allot her dower were;

From minutes of Probate Court, Book K:
p. 25. February 11th, 1863. Came John W. Melton and Seaborn Driver(Edwards), and applied for letters of administration on the estate of A. M. Mahan, deceased. Bond for $100,000 with Joseph W. Morton and James Edwards as securities.
p. 26. Same date. The administrators were given leave to keep up the plantation and employ the slaves on it, for the year 1863.
p. 54. June 18, 1863. Came John S. Mahan jointly with John W. Melton and Seaborn H. Edwards, and applied for letters of administration on the estate of A. M. Mahan, deceased. He also gave bond for $100,000 with N.(Nathan) J. B. Suttles and J. W. Watters as his securities.
p. 129. Nov. 9, 1863. J. W. Melton, administrator of A. M. . Mahan, asked that the dower of Mary Mahan, the widow, the set apart for her. Decedent owned 800 acres of land in Township 19, Range 9, and 1020 acres of land in Township 19, Range 10. Mary and A. M. Mahan, the deceased, are;
Laura and Martha Mahan, minor children of descendant, who resided with their mother, the said widow. JC Mahan, a minor, now in the Army at Demopolis, Ala. Mary, wife of S. A. Edwards, who resides in Perry County Ala.
James (Jane) C. Melton, wife of John W. Melton, Perry Co.
Harriet DeShazo, a widow who resides in Perry County. Margaret, wife of William Curry, who resides in Talladega County, Ala.
