Notes - Thomas and Elizabeth spent the early part of their married life in Kentucky, then emigrated to Rush County, Indiana. In 1825, Thomas purchased 80 acres of land from the government in RushCounty. An original land grant dated 12/19/1825 recordedoriginal land grant book. He owned o ther land in Rush County.Between 1840 and 1845, Thomas and Elizabeth with family moved to Grundy County, Missouri where he owned land in 1853. Their remains lie side by side in the Bratton Cemetary, about two miles north of Hickory, Missouri. The graves are marked with two native stones, standing erect without inscriptions.
