  	Putnam: Death, grim visaged monster, has again been in our midst. On Saturday evening, just after the sun had set, and the evening shadows began to fall, Mrs. Elijah Henkins, Jr., passed away suddenly. She died the death that only a mother can die. A husband and son survive her, who indeed have the heartfelt sympathy of this community. The funeral services were held at the Christian church, Rev. Minion officiating. A very large concourse of friends and relatives followed the remains to their final resting place in the village cemetery.
