William Beasley, Bro. Raymond Fowler and Anthony Nelson officiated. Mrs. Atkinson was born November 4, 1926. She died January 23, 2013 at DCH Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Atkinson and son, Johnny Atkinson. Survivors include one son, Sammy (Mary) Atkinson of Fayette; brother, W.E. Bryant of Holt; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Thomas Bryant, Steve Bryant, Daniel Atkinson, Anthony Nelson, Phil McElroy, and Bill Harkness. Nelson Funeral Home of Fayette directed.
