  Obituary	Howard passed away on Thursday Dec 30, 1993 at his home in Independence, Mo. He was a graduate of the Chillicothe High School, he moved to Undependence from Chillicothe in 1951. He was employed as a driver for Consolidated Freight Ways for 34 years. He was in the U S ARMY during World War II, serving in the European theater and was a member of the McDonald Masonic Lodge of Independence, Mo. He married Betty Deem on April 5, 1945 in Chillicothe. Survivors include his wife Betty of the home, a son, H Stephen of Kansas City; a daughter Bonnie Draper of Kansas Cityl a sister, Doris Sparling of Independence, Mo; several nieces and nephews.
