As I age, I continue to lose more and more people who meant so much to me growing up. It seems that 2014 was especially tough in that respect. I lost my mother in July and though she had been in declining health for some time, it’s still hard to accept that she is no longer with us.  I’m comforted by the fact that she no longer suffers and that she is in a better place.

Rosa Gahn Wright and Lavetta Webster Kull at Stephen Kull’s wedding reception (2006). Lavetta passed away in July and Rosa in August.

Aunt Chris had earlier passed away in April.  She was the wife of my Uncle Lex (mother’s brother).  Like mother, her health had been declining for some time.

My cousin, Rosa (Gahn) Wright died in August right after Mother and my Aunt Jean Ryan (Mother’s sister) passed away the day after her birthday in September. All these ladies were significant presences in my life (I have been bless by that) and they are all missed by a lot of people.

This is my first post to the site in quite some time. I hope to be a little more active this year.
