I so much enjoyed reading this and remembering all the enjoyable times I had when visiting with Uncle Julius and aunt Merkee as I called her... Even as a child when my mom and I would visit them I so much enjoyed it... Uncle Julius was such an interesting person and could keep you spellbound for hours with his stories... He was so different than my grandfather (Fred Kull).. My grandfather was a very stern and no nonsense man and actually I was afraid of him when I was a child.. I can still remember when mom and I would go to see him that I was to be very quiet and doNO slam the door when you go outside... So when I would go outside I would hold onto to the door until it was completely close so it would not slam and make a noise... NOW when I close my eyes I can still see him, as I would walk through his living room when he was reading his paper and him looking up over the paper as I would walk through... I can't say I loved him but I can say I had a very high respect for him and realized as I got older that he was a very intelligent man.. But I always loved Uncle Julius and aunt Merkee... Wishing everyone a GREAT NEW 2014 YEAR!!! If any of you are ever in the area PLEASE feel free to stop by and say hello.... Doris Finley Weiland(Mary Kull's youngest daughter)
